#Audit log

Audit log (Administration menu) records every change made in the portal so you can always answer who changed what, and when.

Each entry shows:

Column Meaning
Time When the change happened (your local time).
Who The person who made the change.
Action What kind of change.
Description Details, for example the signature name or the publication comment.
Organization The organization the change belongs to.

Use the Organization filter to narrow the list.

#Recorded actions

  • Organizations: created, changed, deleted.
  • Signatures: created, draft saved, submitted for review, published, disabled, enabled, version restored, deleted.
  • Rules: created, changed, deleted, and campaign ended, rule switched off (when a time-limited rule expires).
  • Access: granted, revoked.
  • Campaigns: created, edited, approved, deleted.
  • Initial seeding: the data created when an empty database was first filled.

#Who can see it

Owners and the Admins of an organization see the entries for that organization and below. The log is append-only; the portal offers no way to edit or delete entries.

#Retention

Entries are kept in the database. They are included in backups. Because the log also contains publication comments, write comments that will still make sense in a year.
